Troy Foundry Theatre's "Antonio, or What I Would" at UPH 5/31 and 6/1
Troy Foundry Theatre’s latest production, “Antonio, or What I Would,” is a new exploration of the queerness of the devoted pirate in Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” The piece was developed at the Play On Labs with Troy Foundry Theatre in 2024.Written by Brenna Geffers and Shayne David Cameris and performed by Cameris, “Antonio, or What I Would” features Jake Blouch’s music performed by Connor Armbruster and will have performances May 31st and June 1st at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Regional authors share stories of summer camp in Writers Read event at The Linda on 6/30
Writer’s Read creates and promotes performance opportunities for writers through curated live and digital programs. It is a platform for true personal stories, 650 words, five minutes long, and read aloud before an audience by the writer. The live event will take place at WAMC’s The Linda on June 30.

From a desperate existence in a Victorian freak show to his days as the toast of London high society, the life of John Merrick, the Elephant Man, has fascinated the world for well over a century. Though his disfigurement brought notoriety, it was his unblemished inner humanity that most astonished everyone he knew. Berkshire Theatre Group presents Bernard Pomerance’s Tony Award-winning drama, “The Elephant Man,” May 28 - June 15 at the Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge, MA.

Wanda Fischer has spent over 40 years broadcasting folk, bluegrass and blues music to radio listeners as host of WAMC-FM/Northeast Public Radio’s weekly “The Hudson River Sampler” show in 1982.Along with her love of music, Fischer is a published author. Her new novel is "A Few Bumps." She will sign and discuss the book on Friday, October 6 at The Book House in Albany, New York.

New documentary film "No One Cares About Crazy People" will screen at The Townhall Theatre on 9/6
The new documentary film, “No One Cares About Crazy People” explores the mental health crisis in America through intimate personal stories and urgent social commentary.The film, directed and produced by Gail Freedman, was inspired by Vermont author Ron Powers's acclaimed book of the same name. Powers, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, shares his own family's tragedy - losing his younger son, a musical prodigy, to suicide at age 20 - while following grassroots advocates working to reform the broken mental health system in the United States.“No One Cares About Crazy People” will screen at The Townhall Theatre in Middlebury, Vermont this Saturday, September 6, at 2 p.m.
