Less than a month before he is scheduled to stand trial on felony fraud charges and five weeks after pleading not guilty at the federal courthouse, embattled Cohoes Mayor Shawn Morse says he's staying in the mayoral race.

COHOES – If you are a Patsy Cline fan you will love “Always, Patsy Cline” which plays at the Cohoes Music Hall through Sunday.  If you never heard of the country singer who was killed in a plane crash in 1963, you’ll probably leave the show a big fan.

The Park Playhouse is presenting a production of Always... Patsy Cline at the Cohoes Music Hall through October 15th.

The show is based on the true story of Patsy Cline's friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger. The relationship, which began as fan worship evolved into one of mutual respect. It is the kind of relationship that many fans would like to have with their heroes.

The show combines humor, sadness and reality. It offers fans who remember Cline while she was alive a chance to look back, while giving new fans an idea of what seeing her was like and what she meant to her original fans.

Joining us this morning is the Producing Artistic Director of the Park Playhouse, Owen Smith and Chuck Kraus who directed the production.

The city says it is the fourth-oldest operating performance venue in the nation. Now, a partnership between the Cohoes Music Hall and the Palace Theatre in Albany is seeking to breathe new life into the building.

“Five Guys Named Moe” is a trifle but what a delicious trifle.  The musical playing at Cohoes Music Hall through March 17 is a delicious piece of entertainment.

Bob Goepfert - "In the Heights" at Cohoes Music Hall

Last month C&R Productions declared if they didn’t raise $75,000 immediately they would close and stop producing theater. They raised almost $100,000.

I like to think of their current production of “In the Heights” at Cohoes Music Hall as a thank you present for those who to help save them.
