More about Mallory:
Mallory Zondag is a mixed-media fiber artist and artist educator. Her experience with textiles while in art school led her to create both independent and community sculpture through a variety of fiber art mediums. She explores deeply personal and connective universal stories through the meditative and hands-on practices of wet felting, weaving, sculpting, and stitching, seeking to bring the ephemeral into physical being. The growth and decay of the natural world, the duality of discomfort and attraction we feel towards it, and humanity's place within this dichotomy informs her dimensional textures and sculptural pieces.
A self taught artist, I have always been fascinated with the process of coming into and dissolving out of form and all the stages in between. Using subtle rich materials such as Venetian plaster marble dusts, raw pigments, graphite powders and genuine silver leaf, all lend themselves to depicting the process of life in transition.
Whether it is a photograph or a painting suggesting a forest, a snow storm, or a tangle of light. There’s an invitation to enter into a flow of energy, colour movement, an experience! They go where their imagination takes them.
Exhibition Dates: Aug 9 - Sept 13, 2025Gallery Hours: Thurs/Sun - 12-5pm, Fri/Sat - 12-6pm
“I’m in the Studio Tonight Because of You” is Delgado’s attempt to take the viewer through her process by breaking down the lines and marks that land on the paper or canvas from beginning to end.
The first mark tends to be towards the right, middle side of the page. Woody sticks, graphite crayons, pigment sticks, stiff brushes and palette knives are her tools of choice.
The woody stick can make really thin lines that ignite each painting’s energy. When water is added it will wash the color out and make light marks that can be seen in small areas under the piles of oil paint. It’s been said that Melanie is a ‘painter’s painter’. When you stand in front of her work, especially the larger oil paintings on canvas you can feel the battle. She is committed to her practice and has a deep love for her students and their work as well.
This show is dedicated to you.

The acoustic jazz ensemble Rhythm Future Quartet has a clear mission: to keep the spirit of Gypsy jazz alive and expanding in today’s musical landscape. Named after a Django Reinhardt tune, this virtuosic foursome blends the classic sound of the Hot Club of France with a fresh, contemporary approach. Founded by violinist Jason Anick, the quartet performs dynamic and lyrical arrangements of both Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions, drawing on diverse international rhythms and musical idioms. With Max O’Rourke, Henry Acker, and Greg Loughman rounding out the group, Rhythm Future is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of this vital musical genre.
The DiTrani Brothers, with their bent melodies and driving rhythms, play “perilous tunes for the hopeful,” blending elements of Balkan music and early American jazz/swing. They deliver both wistful and raucous performances at venues ranging from The House of Blues in New Orleans to DIY backyard stages. Hailing from North Bend, WA, brothers Bobby and Walker DiTrani began writing songs together while traveling the country, playing music on the streets. Since then, they've recorded two albums and toured the US with drummer Eddie Gaudet. Now a quartet, with acoustic bassist Benjamin Richards, they have just released their third album, Dust Harvest.
