The acoustic jazz ensemble Rhythm Future Quartet has a clear mission: to keep the spirit of Gypsy jazz alive and expanding in today’s musical landscape. Named after a Django Reinhardt tune, this virtuosic foursome blends the classic sound of the Hot Club of France with a fresh, contemporary approach. Founded by violinist Jason Anick, the quartet performs dynamic and lyrical arrangements of both Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions, drawing on diverse international rhythms and musical idioms. With Max O’Rourke, Henry Acker, and Greg Loughman rounding out the group, Rhythm Future is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of this vital musical genre.

The DiTrani Brothers, with their bent melodies and driving rhythms, play “perilous tunes for the hopeful,” blending elements of Balkan music and early American jazz/swing. They deliver both wistful and raucous performances at venues ranging from The House of Blues in New Orleans to DIY backyard stages. Hailing from North Bend, WA, brothers Bobby and Walker DiTrani began writing songs together while traveling the country, playing music on the streets. Since then, they've recorded two albums and toured the US with drummer Eddie Gaudet. Now a quartet, with acoustic bassist Benjamin Richards, they have just released their third album, Dust Harvest.

The Bandwagon Summer Series is a family-friendly outdoor cultural performance series running from May through September. Performances including a diverse group of musical styles will take place at ballfields, farms, and parks throughout Putney, Brattleboro, and Bellows Falls. Kids under 12 always get in for free, and a dedicated play area will be available at all shows. Refreshments are sold onsite, including the return of the hugely popular Barr Hill cocktails, and food from Smokin' Bowls. Bring a picnic and a blanket or fold-up chair to enjoy our concerts.
