Can you heart stand the shocking facts about grave robbers from outer space? Join Sleepover Trading Co. for another Sleepover Saturday as they screen “the worst film of all time”: Plan 9 From Outer Space! To make things extra special, the movie will be shown on resplendent VHS with commercial breaks, just like the good old days.

Directed by the infamous Ed Wood, this 1957 oddity sees aliens attempt to conquer the world by turning the dead into their mindless zombie army. Expect UFOs on strings, cardboard sets and campy performances. The iconic cast features horror host Vampira, Swedish wrestler Tor Johnson and Dracula himself, Bela Lugosi in his final role.

Come early for a free VHS swap meet from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Then the movie will kick off at 7:00pm with horror hostess Glam Stroker and a brand new preshow.

Set in a Minnesota bar where heartbreak is served alongside beer, The Norwegians is a sharp, surprising dark comedy about love gone wrong—and the lengths we go to set things right. Betty and Olive, two women reeling from romantic betrayal, hatch an unlikely plan: hiring a pair of Norwegian hitmen to deal with the men who wronged them.

Enter Tor and Gus, professional killers who turn out to be unfailingly polite, disarmingly gentle, and almost aggressively nice. As the women’s simmering rage collides with the hitmen’s courteous manners, the play finds humor in the contrast between Midwestern civility and the brutal business at hand.

With witty dialogue and a clever premise, The Norwegians explores the culture of America’s “flyover country,” where kindness runs deep—even in the most unexpected professions. At once dark, funny, and oddly tender, the play examines love, revenge, and cultural identity, reminding us that people are rarely what we expect and that even the politest among us may be capable of surprising extremes.

Little Lies faithfully recreates the classic Fleetwood Mac lineup, capturing the legendary leads, lush vocal harmonies, and iconic rhythm section, with additional musicians for a fuller, more powerful performance that stays true to the band’s history of innovation and reinvention. The tribute’s repertoire spans four decades of albums and live performances, from the original 1968 self-titled album to the iconic live moments of The Dance. Little Lies puts on a truly engaging live show, performing an authentic and eclectic playlist of your favorite Fleetwood Mac songs, and the many hits they inspired for other great artists.

Moonbow is an arts organization devoted to presenting multimedia events. Programming is inspired by each venue’s unique atmosphere and architecture. Moonbow #12 at the Shaker Meeting House will feature:

Jenifer Gelineau is a Feeding Tube Records artist, music educator, and mother. Violin is her primary instrument, and she often includes viola, vocals, music box compositions, wood, and electronics to layer rhythmic textures into dreamlike soundscapes.

Becca Pasley is an acoustic bassist whose spectral explorations emerge from free improvisation, noise, and ambient music. Their solo project is called Southern Cistern, an homage to Deep Listening.

Six-time GRAMMY nominee Lakecia Benjamin is an alto saxophonist, arranger, composer, bandleader and educator.
Known for her captivating live performances, her music offers a unique meld of R&B, several strains of jazz, and funk.
Her warm, resonant tone – that has been compared to Johnny Hodges – lends itself to any form of music she chooses to play. Her acclaimed albums Phoenix (2023) and Pursuance: The Coltranes (2020) have firmly established her among jazz's foremost artists, with praise from The New York Times, The Guardian, and DownBeat.
Named Alto Saxophonist of the Year by the Jazz Journalist Association and Jazz Scholar by the Library of Congress, Benjamin's prominence continues to rise. In 2024, she released Phoenix Reimagined (Live) on Ropeadope, featuring collaborations with John Scofield, Randy Brecker, and JeU “Tain” Watts.
Her newest album, We Dream, released on June 5 on Artwork Records, reflects a powerful response to the moment we’re living in and a commitment to being, in her words, “a bright light in a dark space.”

The Woodstock Symphony Orchestra celebrates the opening of season 47 with “Heroism & Celebration”, featuring works by Bizet and Beethoven.

The Lustgarten Foundation’s Albany Capital District Walk for Research is your chance to join our dedicated community of supporters who have been touched by pancreatic cancer. This year we will be walking again at Elm Avenue Town Park where together we will celebrate having raised a cumulative total of over $2 million for the Lustgarten Foundation – enough to fully fund a clinical trial! And thanks to the Foundation’s private funding, 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to pancreatic cancer research.

Registration begins at 8:00 AM. Pavilion activities will run until opening ceremonies at 10:00 AM. Our child friendly, stroller friendly, pet friendly, 1.2-mile handicap accessible Walk sets out at 10:30 AM and all activities end by noon.
Pavilion activities will include a pet parade, a 50/50 raffle, a pick-a-prize auction, a PC information area, and a survivors’ table. A live band, Shades of Grey, will provide live music. Mini Masquerade Face Painting will again provide her amazing body artwork. Participants can relax with a chair massage provided by Breathe Massage Therapy. The first 600 walkers will receive a walk t-shirt, and refreshments including bottled water, apple cider donuts, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and apple cider.

In The Patient Looks Back: Portraits of My Therapist, Catskill-based painter Joyce Polance reverses therapy’s usual direction of attention by turning the patient’s gaze toward the therapist. Painted in oil entirely with her fingers, the three-year series moves between likeness and disruption, testing what close looking can—and cannot—reveal.

The opening reception is September 24, 5–7 p.m., and the artist talk is October 3, 4–5 p.m.
