Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) welcomes back The Philadelphia Orchestra for a three-week summer residency from August 5–22 as part of its celebratory 60th anniversary season.Led by Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nezet-Seguin,the season pairs classical masterworks with SPAC premieres and performances by world-renowned artists, including Tony, Emmy, and five-time Grammy Award–nominated singer Josh Groban, Grammy Award–nominated indie-folk singer Gregory Alan Isakov, and two-time Tony Award–winning Broadway star Brian Stokes Mitchell.Christopher Shiley is President of Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

It will be a lot of fun at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Saturday night as the film “Back to the Future” will be shown with The Philadelphia Orchestra playing the music. Yes, you can recharge your flux-capacitor and get ready to celebrate the movie classic as you’ve never seen or heard it before. It is celebrating its 40th Anniversary of the movie and it is incredible especially with the Philadelphia Orchestra. To tell us more we welcome Steve Linder. The Philadelphia Orchestra will return to SPAC for its annual residency next week, Wednesday, July 31, opening with the tradition of Tchaikovsky Spectacular, highlighted by the 1812 Overture with live cannon fire and a brilliant fireworks display.

Soprano Larisa Martínez will perform with violinist Joshua Bell and the Philadelphia Orchestra in a program of duets. “Voice and Violin” is scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center and will feature a broad range of music from Berlioz to Bernstein. Michael Stern will conduct.It's a special concert that the musical couple began creating at home together in Mount Kisco, New York, during the COVID-19 lockdown. They took their time finding music for voice and violin they really liked and wanted to perform together. It is a pleasure to welcome Joshua Bell and Larisa Martinez to The Roundtable.

The soul and jazz singer Ledisi will perform twice this summer at The Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York.This weekend she’ll take the amphitheater stage at SPAC as part of the 2022 Freihofer's Saratoga Jazz Festival on Sunday, June 26th. She’ll return on August 3 with the Philadelphia Orchestra with her renowned “Ledisi Sings Nina” concert - a tribute to Nina Simone, which she’s also released as an album and a version was filmed for PBS as “Ledisi Live: A Tribute to Nina Simone.”Ledisi is an acclaimed and award-winning musician and actor and she joins us to talk about her career, her music, and her philosophy.

It has been an awesomely weird year for all of us and certainly for the arts. So, talking about some normalcy is quite refreshing. We do so this morning with Elizabeth Sobol, president and CEO of Saratoga Performing Arts Center.
