wikipedia.org

A former Quinnipiac University student has been sentenced to three years of probation for a making a false bomb threat last year on graduation day.Police say Danielle Shea of Quincy, Massachusetts, made two threats immediately before the ceremony because she was embarrassed about not graduating.

The Record-Journal of Meriden reports that Shea pleaded guilty to second-degree reporting a false incident and two counts of second-degree threatening last week in Meriden Superior Court. Shea also has been ordered to pay $22,100 in restitution to the university.

Police say Shea was not enrolled at the university despite receiving checks from her family for tuition and called in the threats after her mother learned she was not among the list of graduates.
