This past December, a camera crew got up close and personal with famous paintings in the Berkshires without putting the prized pieces of work in jeopardy. What was captured on camera will hit television screens across the country.

Wednesday’s Jeopardy! episode will feature a category dedicated to the art of the Norman Rockwell Museum. Although host Alex Trebek didn’t make the trip, two members of Jeopardy’s Clue Crew traveled to the Stockbridge museum last December to film. Museum manager of media services Jeremy Clowe reached out to the nationally-syndicated game show and even helped develop some of the clues.

“From the art background, the historical background that inspired many of his works and then actually just the history of Norman Rockwell himself, he was such a beloved figure for the 20th century, there’s probably a whole show you could do on Rockwell,” said Clowe.

Additional segments filmed at the museum will be featured in episodes in the coming months.
