The Ulster County executive has a warning about capacity for COVID-19 patients in his county.

Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan said Monday evening that the county has one ICU bed available and is on pace to exhaust all available beds and ventilators by the end of this week. Ryan says there has been a near 50 percent surge in those being hospitalized from COVID-19 in Ulster County since Friday. And, like other county executives in the Hudson Valley, Ryan put out a call for doctors, nurses and other medical professionals to assist in the county’s coronavirus response and received more than 70 replies in three days.
