Governor Phil Scott says while there are glimmers of hope Vermonters need to prepare for what could be a bleak time over the next few weeks as the state continues efforts to control the outbreak of COVID-19.
Governor Scott and other officials said Monday the evidence shows that people staying home is having the desired effect. “We’re going to continue to follow the guidance of the science to tell us what the right thing is to do to keep Vermonters safe. What we’ve done thus far is making a huge difference and we’ll get through this a lot quicker because of the actions that Vermonters are taking.”
As of Monday, there are 543 positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Vermont and 23 people have died.
