Sullivan County, New York has its first confirmed case of COVID-19.

Sullivan County Public Health Director Nancy McGraw says the case of COVID-19 was confirmed at the county-owned and operated Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty. She says a healthcare worker at the nursing home tested positive Monday and has been self-isolating since going home from work last Thursday. Sullivan County Manager Joshua Potosek says visitation to the Care Center was halted on Friday, and until more information becomes available, the county also is halting all new admissions and non-urgent medical appointments at the facility.
