Sullivan County Program To Aid Low-Income Families Receives Funding

Sullivan County Head Start is receiving federal funding to support services for low-income families in the area.

New York U.S. Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand announced the more than $3.3 million in funding for Sullivan County Head Start to support child care, early childhood education and support services. Early Head Start programs primarily serve pregnant women, infants and toddlers while Head Start programs primarily serve children aged three to five. The funding was provided by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Early Head Start and Head Start Program.
