Richard Lovrich will Guest Host The 38th Asbury Short Film Concert at The Linda in Albany on Saturday October 19th! (October 1, 2019 > Albany, NY) Asbury Shorts USA, New York City’s longest running short film exhibition and touring show, returns to Albany for an ninth consecutive year to present their nationally recognized “38th Asbury Short Film Concert.” This eclectic screening of world-renowned shorts storms in to The Linda, WAMC’s Performing Arts Studio, on Saturday night October 19, 2019 with the first film blasting on to the screen at 8:00pm. Richard Lovrich, award-winning photographer, author and creative director at the historic Proctor’s Theater, will serve as the show’s guest host. The Oct 19th screening is strongly recommended for ages 16 and way above. Academy Award nominated Director Jason Reitman (“Juno,” “Up in the Air”, “Thank You for Smoking,” “Young Adult”) calls Asbury Shorts: “The Best Short Film Show I’ve ever seen!” Combining classic festival award winners from the past with new international selections, Asbury Shorts provides a rare opportunity for the public to view elite films on a real cinema screen as opposed to You Tube, computers or smart phones.
