Rallies And Vigils Called For After Death In Charlottesville

An anti-hate rally at UMass Amherst

Vigils and rallies are being organized across the region after a counter-protestor was killed at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia Saturday.

A "Vigil for Charlottesville Victims" will be held today at 5 p.m. at Townsend Park in Albany.

In Western Massachusetts, a “Rally to Stand in Solidarity with Charlottesville” has been called for tonight at 7 at Northampton City Hall.

Rallies have also been called for in Saratoga Springs,  Williamstown, Rhinebeck, and several other communities.
