A lecture today at Williams College will delve into the world of virtual reality and what’s ahead for the emerging technology. Morgan McGuire, an associate professor of computer science at Williams, has contributed to video game franchises such as Call of Duty and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. For the past nine years, he’s run Williams’ computational graphics research program. McGuire spoke with WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief Jim Levulis about virtual reality and how it is being used as a branch of cinema technology.
McGuire’s lecture is scheduled to start at 4:15 today at the college. The event is free and open to the public.
