A grassroots advocacy group in the Catskills has begun a campaign focusing on renewable energy.
Catskill Mountainkeeper has launched an online resource for New Yorkers who wish to transition to renewable energy. The web site is renewableny.com and lists renewable energy resources along with steps home and business owners can take to transition using solar, small-scale wind and geothermal energy. And it has information about how one’s community or organization can partner with RenewableNY. The web site also has a petition – a letter to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo asking him to build upon his work as a renewable energy champion and lead New York toward a fossil fuel free future. As of Monday afternoon, there were 210 signatures.
