The Norman Rockwell Museum is honored to present a rare series of early twentieth century lighting advertisements by Norman Rockwell and fellow Golden Age illustrators Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, Dean Cornwell, Stanley Arthurs, Worth Brehm, and Charles Chambers created for Edison Mazda Lamps, a division of the General Electric Company. These luminous, richly painted works were widely circulated in published advertisements through the 1920s and are on loan to the Museum for the first time through the generosity of GE Aerospace.

The Lee Cultural Council will present Sundays in the Park July 6 - August 10 in the park in front of the First Congregational Church in downtown Lee. Each week, there will be one to two musical performances taking place from 12:30 to 2:30P and will be held sprinkle or shine. The audience is encouraged to bring their own chairs and to bring a picnic or order takeout from any of Lee’s fine restaurants. If final concert cancelled, rain date will be Sunday, August 17.

About this event:

Chicago Stepping is an improvisational form of social partner urban dance with its roots in the Chicago Bop and Lindy Hop. It is a smooth, classy, and versatile dance and is primarily danced to old school, soul, jazz, and r&b music. We are a tight-knit community. You'll meet many new people when we travel. You won't learn alone. You will learn the basics, the history culture, and etiquette of this wonderful dance. Can't wait to see you!

Samantha Mabee, a Navy veteran and STEM educator, created Deep Sandwich Trivia to bring people together through curiosity and play. With her mix of structure, creativity, and humor, she turns every trivia night into a shared experience that’s as memorable as it is competitive.

Material Shift showcases work by 13 Haudenosaunee artists who employ found objects and other unconventional materials to create or illustrate traditional cultural objects or concepts and those who, conversely, explore traditional materials in unexpected ways. Works range from playful to provocative. These events are made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Institute of Museum & Library Services, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and friends and members of the Iroquois Museum.
