A GREAT Taste and Experience of Harlem Culture! Harlem's signature cultural dance is the world famous Lindy Hop. While nearly a 100 year old dance it is still enjoyed enormously today worldwide - as far as China, Spain and even parts of Africa!
Come on and join us on Tuesday eves so you can experience and learn this exciting cultural dance art form. You'll hear some swinging jazz classics and how to do this swinging dance to some music of today too. No partner necessary, wear comfy shoes. All ages welcome!

Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher, and even Santa Claus himself at Higbee’s Department Store. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!” All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here, brought to life for the holiday season by Eagle Hill School Drama students.

This crowd-pleasing spectacular features an all-rescue cast of four-legged superstars performing astonishing tricks, high-flying stunts and hilarious antics that have delighted audiences of all ages. From the highest-jumping dog in the universe to a six-pound Pomeranian-Pikachu mix with personality to spare, these once-overlooked pups have traded the doghouse for the spotlight—and they’re ready to steal the show.

Bring the youngest children in your life and enjoy a walk in the woods with Membership and Outreach Coordinator Kate Martin. Children, up to age 3, and caretakers will enjoy a relaxing walk while learning about nature and the Preserve. Meet other caregivers and children while seeing the beauty of the woods as the seasons change. Infants are welcome, but please note that our trails are not suitable for strollers. This event may be canceled due to weather; please dress appropriately for outdoor walking.
