Bet the Farm at Verdigris Tea

In 2008, farmers grew enough to feed twice the world's population, yet more people starved than ever before—and most of them were farmers.

In his new book Bet the Farm: How Food Stopped Being Food

, food writer Frederick Kaufman sets out to discover the connection between the global food system and why the food on our tables is getting less healthy and less delicious even as the world's biggest food companies and food scientists say things are better than ever.

Kaufman will be speaking at Verdigris Tea on Warren Street in Hudson on Saturday night from 6pm – 8pm.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
