The University at Albany's Emeritus Center is an association of retired faculty, administrators and professionals who have been granted emeritus status. Established in 2006, the Center encourages emeriti to continue pursuing the University’s mission of teaching, research, and service. Last spring, a new Emeritus Center-sponsored Albany Lifelong Learning Institute held its first batch of courses. Schlather’s production features early music band Ruckus, world-class opera actors, and improvised dance by Davon. Sung in Italian with English supertitles, Handel’s mega-hit from 1724 will have 6 performances at Hudson Hall. Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in Tivoli, New York partnered with Hudson Hall to provide an artist residency.R.B. Arnold Lobel was many things: a quiet observer, an avid reader, and the kind of man who kept a gorilla suit in his closet, just in case. Above all else, Arnold was an artist and a storyteller. And he infused pieces of himself in the characters he created.Emmy Kastner is an author and illustrator of several books for children, including While You're Asleep and the Nerdy Babies board book series.
