A Kingston-based non-profit organization has a new tool to help provide quality, affordable housing. RUPCO is bringing the program to two Hudson Valley cities and their surrounding communities to help stabilize and upgrade landlords’ properties.

Michael D’Arcy is the New York State Landlord Ambassador Program outreach coordinator at RUPCO. RUPCO has joined forces with Enterprise Community Partners and New York state Homes and Community Renewal to launch the program that was piloted in New York City.

RUPCO will serve as local Landlord Ambassador and provide technical assistance to owners, both private and non-profit, of small- to medium-sized multifamily housing to help stabilize, upgrade and preserve the buildings for long-term affordability. RUPCO is focusing on two cities — Newburgh, in Orange County, and Kingston, in Ulster County.
