Hundreds of people working in Vermont's renewable energy industry are meeting in South Burlington to help chart a path to the state’s long-term energy goal.
The goal is to have 90 percent of Vermont's energy come from renewable sources by 2050.
Reaching the goal will create thousands of jobs and help create a cleaner environment.
There are dozens of exhibits from alternative energy companies and a series of workshops focusing on the challenges of reaching the state's 2050 goal.
The conference is being hosted by Renewable Energy Vermont.
