New Chairs Appointed To North Country Regional Economic Development Council

New leaders have been announced for the North Country Regional Economic Development Council.
James McKenna, the CEO of Lake Placid-based Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, and Jefferson Community College President Dr. Ty Stone have been appointed the new co-chairs of the regional economic development group.

They replace North Country Chamber of Commerce president Garry Douglas and Clarkson University President Tony Collins; both had served as co-chairs since the creation of the regional council in 2011. During eight rounds of funding, the seven counties in the North Country have received more than $600 million for more than 600 projects.
