NYS DMV Offices Closed Due To Coronavirus

The Department of Motor Vehicles is closing offices due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

New York state Department of Motor Vehicles county and state offices are now closed due to the coronavirus. 

Expiration dates have been extended for driver licenses, non-driver IDs, and registrations set to expire on or after March 1st, 2020. 

Drivers can still renew licenses and registrations by mail or online at DMV.NY.gov.

Commissioner Mark Schroeder said the department is "taking broad action to protect the health and safety of the public and our workers.”
