Closing Newspapers

A few more upstate newspapers are folding.

With the advent of instant information gratification via smartphones and other computers, newspapers, especially smaller ones, have endured difficult times.  Citing "the current economic environment," the 138-year old Saugerties Post-Star and its two "pennysaver" sisters will stop the presses permanently July 2nd. Subscribers were notified by letter.
