Neither of the two top Republicans seeking office in Vermont this fall agrees with GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump that this fall's vote could be compromised by voter fraud.
Both U.S. Senate candidate Scott Milne and Lt. Gov. Phil Scott, who is running for governor, say they will accept the results of the Nov. 8 election.
In a statement, Milne says it's "utterly irresponsible to cast doubt on the veracity of outcomes lacking any evidence whatsoever." He adds that "win or lose, of course, I will accept the verdict of the people."
Scott disagrees with Trump and does not have any concerns over the integrity of the election. Scott notes that throughout his political career he has said the person with the most votes should be elected.
