Massachusetts health leaders are continuing to alert people to the current health insurance open enrollment period. The state’s online marketplace, known as the Connector, is meeting with area leaders in Greenfield Monday.State health officials will visit the Community Health Center of Franklin County Monday to help residents sign up for healthcare coverage. All of the more than 400,000 people who either navigated the state’s fumbled rollout of the previous website or those placed in temporary coverage need to reapply by February 15th, according to the Connector’s executive director Jean Yang.

“These people are in either temporary or legacy coverage that will actually end at some point,” Yang said. “What that means is that unless people take affirmative action they will be at risk of losing their current insurance.”

Nearly 80,000 people have enrolled in MassHealth or Connector plans during the first three weeks of open enrollment.
