Jury Begins Deliberations In Veiovis Trial; Will Continue Monday

The jury in the last of three separate trials that have captivated the region involving the murders of three Berkshire County began deliberating Friday.Defense lawyers for 34-year-old Caius Veiovis used less than one day to try to discredit the prosecution’s case before closing arguments in Hampden Superior Court Friday. Jurors experienced nine days of graphic testimony, before the prosecution rested its case.

Veiovis has pleaded not guilty to charges connected to the murders of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell. The men disappeared from a Pittsfield apartment in August 2011. Their dismembered bodies were discovered two weeks later in Becket.

In separate trials earlier this year, Adam Lee Hall and David Chalue were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for their roles in the killings.

The jury will resume deliberations Monday.
