Democratic congressional lawmakers in New York have announced federal funding to support economic growth in the Hudson Valley’s low-income and distressed communities.
U.S. Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, along with Congressman Antonio Delgado, say the more than $124,000 is for the Hudson Valley Agribusiness Development Corporation (HVADC). They say the funding will be used to build the capacity of the organization and support low-income and distressed communities by contributing to their revitalization. HVADC Executive Director Todd Erling says the funding will help his organization progress to the next step of being able to make sure underserved small farm and food businesses have access to adequate funding and technical assistance.
