HV Lawmakers Sign A Woodstock Stage Panel To Send Gun Reform Message

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America along with dozens of state, county and local Hudson Valley lawmakers are gathering in Westchester County this afternoon to sign a panel from the original 1969 Woodstock stage.

The signing is in support of federal gun reforms, including background checks on all gun sales and red flag laws. Steve Gold, who acquired the original stage, is using it for social activism. After having collected hundreds of signatures at Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary events, Hudson Valley lawmakers will sign the panel Thursday afternoon in White Plains. Then, the stage panel will be displayed in state Senator David Carlucci’s Rockland County district office in New City for the public to sign through mid-October, before Gold delivers the panel to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. And there is a change.org petition calling on McConnell to awaken the spirit of Woodstock.
