Central Hudson Delivers Grant For HV Advanced Manufacturing Center

A utility company in New York’s Hudson Valley has awarded the State University of New York at New Paltz a grant for the Advanced Manufacturing Center.

Central Hudson Gas & Electric has awarded the Hudson Valley Advanced Manufacturing Center at SUNY New Paltz a $200,000 Wired Innovation Centers grant to enhance the Center’s 3-D metal printing capabilities. The enhancements will allow the center to undertake high-resolution printing of wax components and direct metal printing. In addition, the investment will go toward post-processing equipment. The new equipment will be installed in the Engineering Innovation Hub, the new home of the Advanced Manufacturing Center, which is scheduled to open on the SUNY New Paltz campus later this year.
