NYS Parks Will Put Up Tick Warning Signs

Warning signs about ticks will be installed at all New York state managed parks and campgrounds.

Democratic Assemblymember Didi Barrett says the Lyme and tick-borne disease warning signs are needed because of the increased presence of such diseases in the state. Governor Andrew Cuomo recently signed the legislation sponsored by Barrett and Republican Senator Sue Serino. Barrett says the signs describe how to avoid tick bites, and are part of a public education effort on Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.
