Farmers' Market Premieres At Taste NY In Dutchess

Agritourism in the Hudson Valley gets a boost this weekend with the debut of an outdoor farmers’ market along a heavily transited parkway.

With the autumn harvest underway, the Taste New York Market at Todd Hill, on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County, premieres this weekend and continues every Friday and Sunday through November 2. Products come from not only Dutchess, but Columbia and Ulster Counties as well, and include wine. In announcing the debut, Governor Andrew Cuomo said the Taste NY Market at Todd Hill plays host to between 3,000 and 5,000 visitors every week, with year-to-date sales of more than $140,000. The market is just south of the Route 55 exit of the Taconic. The farmers’ market will be open Fridays from 3 to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 6 p.m.
