Presented under the Berkshires’ summer skies, Romeo and Juliet proves that even the ultimate case of love at first sight can lead to… well, chaos.
Meddling families and murderous duels meld to offer an evening of sword fights, swinging soirees, and secret weddings — but the play is also full of exuberant vulgarity, harsh brutality and above all, the tingling, unbearable delight of young love.
This milestone Summer Season will support new theater in development created by 220 artists, through 12 public performances, including one immersive dance-concert production, 10 residencies, eight television pilots and screenplays, two panel discussions, and more at Marist University: July 11 to August 3.
Audiences will experience stories in their earliest stages before they go to Broadway, major resident and international theaters, movies theaters or TV.
This group of artists has been recognized by every major award, including the Pulitzer Prize, Tony, Obie, Oscar, Emmy, etc.
Set sail for pirates, prophets, and musical mayhem with “South: A Nautical Musical,” a bold, rhythm-soaked, original musical debuting July 24–August 3 at Bridge Street Theatre in Catskill!
It’s 1860, and a sailor named Wheeler is searching for his missing mother with only a locket to guide him. But in "South: A Nautical Musical," the sea has other plans. This bold, original musical from composer Carmen Borgia sends Wheeler into the path of pirates, relic dealers, tangoing traitors, and an island of self-actualized lesbian cannibals. Directed and choreographed by Timothy Dakin-Dunn, the show features Latin-influenced melodies, live musicians, a cast of 11, theatrical spectacle, and a healthy dose of metaphysical madness!
"South: A Nautical Musical" runs July 24–August 3 at Bridge Street Theatre, 44 West Bridge Street, Catskill, NY. Tickets and details at bridgest.org/south.

A mainstay of the classic operatic repertoire, Carmen returns to Seagle Festival after more than a 20-year hiatus. The spectacle, the drama, and the unforgettable tunes including Carmen’s “Habanera”, Escamillo’s “Toreador”, Micaëla’s “Je dis”, and Don José’s “La fleur” are some of the most treasured of all time.
Join us for the rambunctious Tony Award winning comedy I'M NOT RAPPAPORT starring Tony Award winner Judd Hirsch! Focused on a bench in Central Park, the play follows two feisty octogenarians—Nat, a fiery idealist clinging to his independence, and Midge, a superintendent dodging his tenants—as they resist being pushed aside by society. It’s a rich and relevant comedy, brimming with heart and humanity.
Directed by Tony Nominee Neil Pepe.
Lebron James’ years playing basketball in Cleveland brought promise, prosperity and renewal to a city in desperate need of all three. Pulitzer Prize-nominee Rajiv Joseph pens an important tale of friendship in this popular new play.
Shawn and Matt forge an unlikely bond through their fandom for ‘King’ Lebron James. Over a 12-year period, from Lebron’s rookie season to an NBA championship, their friendship takes a journey fueled by their love of the game and the King.
Directed by Jammie Patton

Material Shift showcases work by 13 Haudenosaunee artists who employ found objects and other unconventional materials to create or illustrate traditional cultural objects or concepts and those who, conversely, explore traditional materials in unexpected ways. Works range from playful to provocative. These events are made possible by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Institute of Museum & Library Services, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature, and friends and members of the Iroquois Museum. The Norman Rockwell Museum is honored to present a rare series of early twentieth century lighting advertisements by Norman Rockwell and fellow Golden Age illustrators Maxfield Parrish, N.C. Wyeth, Dean Cornwell, Stanley Arthurs, Worth Brehm, and Charles Chambers created for Edison Mazda Lamps, a division of the General Electric Company. These luminous, richly painted works were widely circulated in published advertisements through the 1920s and are on loan to the Museum for the first time through the generosity of GE Aerospace.
