Join the Housatonic Valley Association for a visit to one of the most stunning scenic attractions in the Berkshires as part of the 24th Annual Housatonic Heritage Walks! Straddling the border between Massachusetts and Connecticut, Campbell Falls is a 50-foot-high waterfall on the Whiting River, which flows south to CT, where it meets the Blackberry River, a tributary of the Housatonic River. Led by Erik Reardon, HVA's Berkshire Watershed Director, this hike will include a discussion of forest and land use history and connections to river and stream health in the Berkshires.

Participants will meet at 12 p.m. at the Campbell Falls Road trailhead in Norfolk, CT, where the group will start the 2-hour, 2-mile walk across the border into MA. The walk down to the falls follows a switchback trail that is steep at times.

The only conservation organization dedicated to the entire tri-state Housatonic River watershed, the Housatonic Valley Association acts to protect the natural character and environmental health of the region, from the Berkshires to Long Island Sound, through river restoration projects, land conservation initiatives, and environmental educational programs. A GREAT Taste and Experience of Harlem Culture! Harlem's signature cultural dance is the world famous Lindy Hop. While nearly a 100 year old dance it is still enjoyed enormously today worldwide - as far as China, Spain and even parts of Africa!

Come on and join us on Tuesday eves so you can experience and learn this exciting cultural dance art form. You'll hear some swinging jazz classics and how to do this swinging dance to some music of today too. No partner necessary, wear comfy shoes. All ages welcome!

Samantha Mabee, a Navy veteran and STEM educator, created Deep Sandwich Trivia to bring people together through curiosity and play. With her mix of structure, creativity, and humor, she turns every trivia night into a shared experience that’s as memorable as it is competitive.

Move with mindfulness and find balance in nature with Katherine Henderson. Offered on alternating Thursdays from May to September, Tai Chi is a gentle practice that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and improves strength and stability. Set against the serene backdrop of LongHouse, this class welcomes all ages and experience levels to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with the beauty around you. Also offered on Saturdays.

Join us after the September Putney Community Supper for an evening of joyful singing in the main performance space.

Led by guitarist and song leader Rich Grumbine, this community sing-along invites everyone to take turns choosing favorites from a digital songbook of 100+ well-loved tunes. Lyrics will be projected on a big screen, so all can sing along with ease. Expect songs from many traditions—folk, golden oldies, gospel, Beatles, classic pop and rock, children’s songs, and show tunes.

The event is free, open to all, and accessible to people with disabilities.
