Tony Voter And Proctors' CEO Philip Morris On This Year's Broadway Season

Philip Morris is celebrating is in his 17th year as CEO of Proctors. He arrived in the Capital Region in early 2002, after 25 years as executive director of the Chautauqua County arts council, in western New York.

Under Morris' leadership, Proctors has spent $42 million on expansion and renovation, which included a dramatically larger stage house and backstage facilities for the main theater, new box office and cafe, and the 440-seat GE Theatre at Proctors.

With major partnerships with Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany and Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, Proctors has been a leader in seeing the arts from a regional perspective. Philip joins us this morning to talk the Tonys, grants, and getting ready for "Hamilton."

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
