The Tanglewood Picnic: Music and Outdoor Feasts in the Berkshires - Call For Submissions

Author and Berkshire resident, Gina Hyams is creating a gift book titled The Tanglewood Picnic: Music and Outdoor Feasts in the Berkshires. She envisions the project as a collective love letter to the quintessential Berkshire summer experience of picnicking on the Lawn and she is asking the public to submit their personal snapshots of Tanglewood picnics, along with favorite Tanglewood picnic recipes and tips from all eras of the festival’s eight-decade history.

The deadline for submissions to Gina’s book is September 30, 2014. Submissions will be considered for both print publication and posting on the project’s blog. You may include your name, address, and phone number, and answer this question: What do you love about Tanglewood picnics? Email submissions to: tanglewoodpicnic@gmail.com.

Sarah has been a public radio producer for over fifteen years. She grew up in Saranac Lake, New York where she worked part-time at Pendragon Theatre all through high school and college. She graduated from UAlbany in 2006 with a BA in English and started at WAMC a few weeks later as a part-time board-op in the control room. Through a series of offered and seized opportunities she is now the Senior Contributing Producer of The Roundtable and Producer of The Book Show. During the main thrust of the Covid-19 pandemic shut-down, Sarah hosted a live Instagram interview program "A Face for Radio Video Series." On it, Sarah spoke with actors, musicians, comedians, and artists about the creative activities they were accomplishing and/or missing.
