Pittsfield is preparing for its first Third Thursday of the season.
Third Thursday is a monthly street fair in downtown Pittsfield where a half-mile of North Street becomes a pedestrian thoroughfare. Jen Glockner is director of the city’s office of cultural development, and she says the first installment of the season will feature youth groups.
“Families, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbors, friends, they all come out for the street festival to watch,” Glockner told WAMC.
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and features performances, food vendors, and more.
