The mayor of the village of Stillwater is facing child pornography charges. WNYT reports police executed a search warrant on the Saratoga County home of 62-year-old Ricky Nelson today after tracing an IP address that reportedly downloaded illegal pictures. Nelson was elected to his first four-year term in 2015. According to his biography on the village website, Nelson served in leadership positions at the Stillwater United Church and worked as a sports referee at the high school and college levels. The biography says Nelson lives with his wife and son.
