Scam Advisory: We have been made aware that an online entity is posing as Joe Donahue to invite authors and other creatives onto our radio shows. The scammers then attempt to charge guests an appearance fee for exposure/publicity.
Please note: WAMC does not charge guests to appear on the station and any email about appearing on a WAMC program will come from a wamc.org email address.

For Goodness Bake In Beacon

For Goodness Bake logo

For Goodness Bake is an annual Beacon bake sale dedicated to raising funds and awareness for charitable organizations within the Hudson Valley. Now in its fifth year, For Goodness Bake has previously raised thousanda for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association, Green Teen Beacon and the Kids R Kids Feeding Program.

Taking place from 10:00 - 4:00 PM on August 5 at Catalyst Gallery in Beacon, this year’s For Goodness Bake will be raising funds and awareness for the Beacon Rec After School Program Tuition Assistance Fund, a new educational presence in the community.

We are joined by: Kristen Pratt and Tara Tornello, co-founders of For Goodness Bake, and Nate Smith, Assistant Director of Beacon Rec Dept and Head of Beacon After School program.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
