The Minister's War screening at Smith College

The documentary, The Minister's War, tells the story of a Unitarian minister, Waitstill Sharp and his wife Martha who left Wellesley, Massachusetts to help save thousands being persecuted by the Nazis in Eastern Europe during World War II. Who were these American heroes? What drove their willingness to put the well-being of strangers over that of themselves and their family?

Emma Blaxter is the Associate Producer of the film and the great-granddaughter of the Sharps. She has been an international activist and devoted humanitarian since graduating from Mills College in 2009. Since then, she has worked in two non-profits devoted to international relief.

The Minister’s War will be shown Sunday afternoon at 1:30 PM in Seelye Hall at Smith College in Northampton.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
