The case garnered national headlines and last-minute requests from the attorney for the undocumented immigrant from Ecuador to allow him to stay and earn his diploma from Ossining High School. Attorneys for a Westchester County high school student have filed a second request for the teen to stay in the U.S. The undocumented immigrant from Ecuador was arrested the day of his prom and is being detained, along with his mother, following a deportation order.

Supporters have been rallying for a high school student in Westchester County to be allowed to remain in the United States. This comes after federal officials arrested the undocumented immigrant from Ecuador June 8.
