The City of Glens Falls received millions of dollars in federal relief funds through the American Rescue Plan Act. Officials say those funds, along with a $10 million state grant, are positioning “Hometown U.S.A.” to become a thriving gateway to the Adirondacks.

The City of Schenectady was awarded more than $50 million in federal funding through the American Rescue Plan Act. Leaders have used the money to balance city budgets and fund community projects. But not all projects have moved forward according to plan, and some are at risk of losing the funding.

The city of Poughkeepsie has been enjoying infrastructure improvements and community programs thanks to the American Rescue Plan Act. Now that the one-time funding has largely run dry, however, the city is facing a tough budget and working to manage residents’ expectations.

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Albany County has been softened by American Rescue Plan Act funding.

Pittsfield, Massachusetts received over $40 million in federal relief through the American Rescue Plan Act President Biden signed into law in 2021. Its allotment from that windfall to the Berkshire Black Economic Council has led to a flourishing of the city’s Black businesses, which are filling vacant storefronts downtown and contributing to a culinary golden age for Pittsfield.

In Barre, a number of projects requesting ARPA funds are on hold due to devastating flooding that occurred last July.
