Pittsfield Community Television is presenting the Berkshire COVID-19 Fund Help-A-Thon Thursday.
PCTV Executive Director Shawn Serre says the fundraiser for coronavirus relief includes politicians like Congressman Richard Neal, former acting Governor Jane Swift, as well as local musicians like drummer Kenny Aronoff and comedian Kevin Bartini.
“So it’s going Berkshire County wide – so it’s being carried by Northern Berkshire Community Television, it’s being carried by WilliNet – which is Williamstown community television, Lanesborough Cable Access, Dalton Community Television, and CTSB – community television for the Southern Berkshires,” said Serre.
Proceeds will go to the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund for Berkshire County, which is co-led by Berkshire United Way and Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation in partnership with Northern Berkshire United Way and Williamstown Community Chest. PCTV’s Berkshire COVID-19 Fund Help-A-Thon kicks off at 5 p.m. Thursday evening, and will be rebroadcast on Sunday at 6 p.m.
