Out-of-state casino gambling declined significantly after Massachusetts opened its first casino in the summer of 2015.
That is one of the findings released recently from an on-going major study by the University of Massachusetts Amherst on the impacts of casino gambling in the state.
The research, commissioned by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, is being led by UMass Amherst professor Rachel Volberg.
She spoke about the new report with WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill.
