Vermont's Republican lieutenant governor says he would sell his share of a construction company if he wins the governor's race in November.
GOP candidate Phil Scott made the announcement after renewed criticism from Vermont  Democrats that his business could cause a potential conflict of interest.

Scott is lieutenant governor and has co-owned DuBois Construction for 30 years. He estimated the company gets about 10 to 15 percent of its work from the state.

Democratic gubernatorial nominee Sue Minter stated that Scott should explain why DuBois Construction received contracts while he served as lieutenant governor.
