Friends Of The Poughkeepsie Public Library District 2015 Big Book Sale

For over 35 years, the Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District have been the leading advocate for the Poughkeepsie Public Library District, promoting the importance of the library as an information and cultural force in the community.

Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District 2015 Big Book Sale will take place next Friday, April 24th through Tuesday, April 28th at 5 Saint Andrews Road at Route 9, Hyde Park, NY – for those of you in the know – that’s the former Hyde Park Stop and Shop.

The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District expect to have over 100,000 hardcover books, paperback books, audio books, and DVDs for sale with proceeds supporting the libraries - at some point after this sale, the Friends plan to open their book store at the Boardman Road Branch Library.

We are joined by Mark Nelson, the volunteer coordinator for the FPPLD Book Sale.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
