A political advocacy group has registered in Massachusetts to campaign for passage of a property tax increase in Springfield to fund historic preservation and parks and playground projects.
The new organization, Springfield CPAdvocacy, is holding a public forum at 6:30 p.m. today at the Business Growth Center at the Springfield Technology Park.
Robert McCarroll is president of the new committee that is campaigning for Springfield voters to approve a referendum on this November’s ballot to adopt the state Community Preservation Act. He spoke with WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill.
