Drug take-back day is October 24 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at many police stations.

There is an opportunity this weekend for people to safely get rid of unneeded medications. Saturday, October 24 is National Drug Take-Back Day.

Typically held twice a year, it did not take place last spring because of the pandemic.

In Massachusetts, the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office is one of the agencies participating in the nationwide event.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Northwestern DA David Sullivan.
