One week ago, two dozen immigrants from 16 counties gathered at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, to finalize their naturalization as U.S. citizens. WAMC sent this audio postcard after meeting some of the country’s newest American citizens.

Newly naturalized U.S. citizens Anup Singh, Philip Asante, and Taha Bouras spoke with WAMC last Friday. Lina Orozco Grillon sang the National Anthem and America The Beautiful.

Josh Landes has been WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief since February 2018, following stints at WBGO Newark and WFMU East Orange. A passionate advocate for Western Massachusetts, Landes was raised in Pittsfield and attended Hampshire College in Amherst, receiving his bachelor's in Ethnomusicology and Radio Production. His free time is spent with his cat Harry, experimental electronic music, and exploring the woods.
